What are the opening times of the Orchideeën Hoeve?
We are open throughout the year, seven days per week, except on New Year's Day.
Monday till Saturday, 9:00 - 18:00. On Sunday and public holidays, 10:00 - 18:00.

If I would like to buy something in the shop or want to eat or drink in the restaurant, do I have to pay the admission fee?
No, you only need an admission ticket if you want to visit our Tropical Gardens, the Butterfly Valley, the new Lory Garden, and the Mangrove Play Paradise. The restaurant and our shop are accessible free of charge.

Where can I buy admission tickets?
Admission tickets for the garden can be purchased at the entrance to the gardens, unless your group consists of more than 10 persons.

Is it possible to celebrate a family day, birthday or wedding at the Orchideeën Hoeve?
Yes, that is certainly possible. You can obtain information for group packages (10 persons or more) at our reception. You must make reservations for groups of 10 persons or more.

Can I park at the Orchideeën Hoeve and what does this cost?
There is adequate parking space in front of the Orchideeën Hoeve.
Parking is free of charge.

How do I reach the Orchideeën Hoeve by means of public transport?

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on our premises, provided that you adequately walk your dog in advance at the car park and keep the animal on a leash on our premises. Dogs are not allowed in the new Lory Garden. There is a special route around the outside of the aviary.

I am a wheelchair user. Can my attendant accompany me into the gardens free of charge?
Your attendant must have his or her own admission ticket.

Is it possible to tour the gardens in a wheelchair?
Our entire facility is wheelchair accessible.
In addition, we offer a handicap-accessible toilet and there are 6 parking spaces for disabled visitors in front of our premises.

Are wheelchairs available at the Orchideeën Hoeve?
There are a limited number of wheelchairs available that can be used by our disabled visitors. If you would like to use one of those wheelchairs, please contact our reception, telephone +31 (0) 527 20 28 75.

Is admission free of charge for children?
Children up to and including 3 years old can enter free of charge.
Children from 4 up to and including 12 years old must pay € 7.50 per child for an admission ticket. From the age of 12, children pay the same admission fee as adults.

Do people who are 65 or older qualify for a discount?
Visitors who are 65 or older receive a discount on the adult admission fee.

Where can I find a map?
The folder rack at the entrance of the Orchideeën Hoeve contains folders. There, you will find a map of our premises.

Where can we eat or drink something?
You can enjoy something to eat and/or drink in our self-service restaurant.
You are not allowed to consume food you brought yourself.

Can I smoke on the premises?
No, there is a smoking ban throughout the premises.

Can I use a bankcard with PIN at the Orchideeën Hoeve?
You can pay for your purchases using a bankcard with PIN in our restaurant, in our shop, at the entrance of the gardens, and at our reception.
